In ihrer fotografischen Installation Immer laut zu sagen, was ist und ich will beschäftigt sich die Künstlerin Luise Schröder mit den Aktivitäten von Frauen- und Lesbengruppen in der DDR der 1980er/1990er Jahre und thematisiert dabei Formen von Selbstermächtigung und Widerstand, als auch das spannungsvolle Verhältnis von Geschichte und Gegenwart. Die Ausstellung ist Teil von EMOP – European Month of Photography.

Luise Schröder ist bildende Künstlerin und thematisiert in ihren künstlerischen Arbeiten die Bedeutung von Geschichte für die Gegenwart. Sie ist Stipendiatin des Berliner Programm Künstlerische Forschung 2024/2025.

In her photographic installation Always saying out loud what’s up and I want, fellow Luise Schröder deals with the activities of women’s and lesbian groups in the GDR in the 1980s/90s, addressing forms of self-empowerment and resistance, as well as the tense relationship between history and the present. The exhibition is part of EMOP – European Month of Photography.

Luise Schröder is a visual artist dealing with the notions of history and memory, and with their respective significance for the present. She is stipend holder of the Berlin Programme for Artistic Research 2024/2025.
